The next two topics cover various images from last
week's visit to Arlington National Cemetery, 640+ acres
with over 400,000 service men and women, families, and
dignitaries interred.
I've already posted "Washington DC Cherry Blossoms"
here
https://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-584686-1.htmlas well as "Changing of the Guard - Tomb of the
Unknown Soldier" here
https://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-584827-1.htmlPlease note, some memorials are in, and some are around
Arlington National Cemetery.
Most of these are outstanding, particularly the third one---a view we do not normally see and very reminiscent of ranks of soldiers.
I would recommend, however, that you get rid of the contrails in the first photo. To me it is very distracting. But again, as I said most of these shots are outstanding.

I understand what you are saying, Fantom, and appreciate the
kind words, and am open to constructive criticism, but as you
know, everyone has an opinion, and mine is to keep the original
as close as possible to "as taken."
I do appreciate you taking the time to view these images, and like I
said, I truly do appreciate your comments.

What a wonderful place to have visited - thanks for sharing!
I particularly like the shots of the galleries (?) and railings - that sort of graphic perspectives always appeal to me.
Your shot of the MLK statue was interesting but I've disliked that statue ever since it was first erected. Apart from it being made in China it has a creepy dystopian, totalitarian look to it which does a terrible disservice to the man who is being honored - just my opinion, of course!

Good point. That statue had reminded me of Big Brother and the style of Lenin statues I've seen in Russia.

I'm glad you liked most of these images, Sue, and I especially
appreciate your comments on the MLK memorial. I had no idea
it was made in China, and I agree with your comment about
having a "totalitarian" look, which I also agree is a disservice
to a man who was anything but...

Very nice series, Rolk. It's interesting in that I read the comment about the contrails in the first photograph. I was so absorbed by your photographic interpretation of MLK that I didn't notice them. I had to go back and look again when I read that first post.
