Nalu Loc: Southern Arizona

I had the opportunity to spend 5 days photographing Bald Eagles in Homer Alaska during the first week of March. What a treat. Living most of my life in the Southwestern part of the country, I never had the opportunity to spend much time with these amazing birds. Hope you enjoy. Constructive criticism is alway welcome.

All but one of these images were taken with a Sony a9 and for the most part the Sony 100/400 GM. Pretty amazing equipment IMO and just got better with the new version 5 firmware.

Very nice shots. My favorite is the second one with the Eagle with a fish in its talons and the splash in the water from where it caught the fish. It makes the shot so dynamic for me.

The first image was taken with an a7RIII. I just installed the new firmware on my a9 yesterday and am trying to figure it out. At least with the A9, there seem to be some pretty significant improvements in the focus system.

I agree the white backgrounds sure not the most desirable, but unfortunately we had cloudy days so the conditions were not optimum. Thanks for the comment.
