I got a 30 days trial of Topaz AI, the results are amazing... but I have to wait an average of 10-15 minutes per picture. Is this "normal" for the program ?.
I'm running it in a very " decent PC" (16 GB of memory , 5i Win 10 64 Bits) and I'm afraid to purchase a program with this kind of latency.
Any help ? Thank you all !!

I don't use it (yet) but have heard from others that it can, indeed, be very slow. Will be interesting to hear on this from other users....

This program makes "magic" but is so slow that became impractical for me.

Running AI on my 2015 IMac is a bit slow. Makes no difference if the image is a raw or JPG.

iMac 32 Gb ram, quad processor, Mojave OS. Might not be 10 minutes per image, but it is defiantly not finished in seconds :)

Which Topaz product are you referring to. They have released 4 products so far that use AI. I use Topaz AI Clear a lot and love it. And I am certainly not waiting 10-15 min per image. I find Sharpen AI rather slow and difficult to pick the right settings to use. I have tried the AI Gigapixel, but my trial is over. And I have not tried the AI JPEG to RAW.

How do you get the FREE 30 days trial of AI Clear (assuming this what you are using)? On their web site, I see just one option: buy it for $59.99. Thanks.

go to the upper left of the program window to "FILE". Go down to "PREFERENCES" and change the defualt processing mode from GPU to CPU-makes all of the difference in the world.

This is for Sharpen AI, which is a different program from AI Clear. I couldn't find a similar cab for AI Clear... But thanks for responding anyway.

Topaz AI works even better on images of paintings.

Try it on your paint-by-numbers, and you're work will look like
Vermeer's or Cezanne's!

Software is magic--it can do anything. Thank God we no
longer need to learn how to paint or take photographs!

For those who are using Topaz AI Sharpen, do you mind sharing your computer specs (Windows only please). This isn't the first time I've seen in a thread about slow rendering. Thank you in advance.

AI clear is a Topaz Studio app, you can start a 30 day trial from within Studio, AI Sharpen is a separate stand alone product. Most all Topaz products can be installed and used for a trial period before requiring a license key.

If you go to the download page, all the products are there to download, after installation they are in trial mode until you enter the license key into each product.
