And only North American Manufactured them. They had two plants - Inglewood, CA and Kansas City, KS, between the two factories and the multiple variations they built 9890 according to factory records. That includes the pre-production design concept aircraft.

Thanks for the info. I should have remembered that. Fifty or sixty years ago I knew that. As a kid, "The Court Marshall of Billy Mitchell" was a favorite movie of mine. Thanks for reminding me.

As the man said, "Thank God for the B-25." ...and the crews that flew them.

I am too lazy to google it, but did anyone else besides Mitchell build the B-25 or was it just Mitchell?

Thank you very much, fantom. The B-25 was built by North American Aviation; it was so named in honor of Major General William "Billy" Mitchell, a pioneer of U.S. military aviation.

I read an article recently in "Sport Aviation" about the Chino airshow. Never been in that part of the country, but it's just under 120 miles from my aunt and cousins near Point Loma. Been years since I've seen them out there, although we've mingled at various reunions around the states.

I wouldn't mind getting a ride on a B-25, but I spent all my money last year at OSH to ride in a B-17 (B-29 rides were sold out). Don't know when I'll get back to cali. Ever been up to see the EAA museum?

Hi Bob,, I love your work, and have spent quite a bit of time looking at your web site.
I shoot at the Airventure Airshow in Oshkosh Wisconsin every year for one of the volunteer groups out there.

Your shots give me incentive to learn to shoot as well as you someday!!,,

I have included one of mine of the beautiful B-25, I hope you like it.
Bob O.

Thank you very much, Bob; I'm flattered. IMHO your work looks just fine, and I have added you to my buddy list.
