Amazing! It truly is a small World.

I totally agree, David. Thanks for taking the time to
view this series...I know they don't begin to compare
to some of the beautiful works you capture, but I
wanted to pay respect to all our veterans...

Buff. I still have my fatigue jacket too as well as my rain coat. I will have to try & put oil on the zipper cause it won't zip up. A few years ago I bought a liner for it that I never got when I was in the Army. I also bought a black jacket with liner too at my local Army-Navy Surplus Store. I love my civilian M14. Only thing I use it for is the gun range but if ever called upon on my job (security) I have a reliable rifle to use. Right now all I use is a Glock 17. I was stationed at a field hospital in Bangkok. We lived in a hotel. Get this, we got billit pay & to my amazement combat pay. We were considered in a war zone although we had a different kind of war. Our war was with the bar girls. Yes, I was drafted too. Viet Nam was hot & heavy at that time. I had my occupation & saw no need to enlist. From what I understand now they don't even issue draft cards. Anyway even though the war was unpopular I served my country proudly.

I do, Joe...the only vantage point one can get is from the front,
and it sits at the top of a very long and high set of steps, which
they have blocked off....here you go...

Is that the Tomb or the amphitheater adjacent to it?

No, at the very top of the stairs, the structure with the three
figures on it is the tomb. The large structure you see is behind
the tomb (which is centered), and that structure sits back 50-100
feet or so...never was good at estimating distance, but because
I was using a telephoto lens, the distance between them is
compressed. Hope that helps.

Thanks. Got it.
I was confused by depth. So where the Guard performs the changing ceremony is between the Tomb and the rear structure?

That is correct.
