Piers Morgan Calls It: The Russian Collusion H**x Will Deliver Trump's 2020 Win!

British journalist and television personality Piers Morgan blasted the “Russia collusion h**x” as a “disgraceful f**e news witch-hunt” by President Donald Trump’s enemies that very well could end up ensuring his re-e******n in 2020.

In a fiery column published Monday on DailyMail.com, Morgan criticized Trump’s enemies for propagating an “obsessively unrelenting campaign” to bring down the president by essentially accusing him of the worst thing possible: betraying his own country.

“Today, he stands completely vindicated,” Morgan wrote, citing the release of special counsel Robert Mueller’s “long-awaited report” that “sensationally cleared Trump of any collusion.”

While acknowledging that Trump is “jubilant,” Morgan turned his focus to the president’s enemies:

[M]y overwhelming feeling today is one of fury that [Trump] had to endure such a disgraceful, deceitful and concerted attack on his presidency based on nothing but a fervent desire to destroy him and his family.

Make no mistake, this was a ‘Get Trump’ mission driven by a collection of people who just couldn’t stomach the thought that he won the White House.

The Democrats, led by the demented Adam Schiff, screamed ‘COLLUSION!’ so often I’m amazed their larynxes didn’t explode.

But at least they had an obvious political motive for wanting Trump gone.

What is far worse is the way so many mainstream US media networks, newspapers and individual journalists fuelled the f**e frenzy.

They let all the normal rules of balanced reporting fly out the window as they competed with each other over who could land the biggest Pulitzer prize-winning Trump/Russia sucker punch that would KO the President they loathe.

Only it turned out they were all punching thin air.

Morgan’s lengthy piece breaks down every aspect of the collusion h**x and the media’s role in it before concluding with a silver lining for Trump, who can now declare: “I delivered on defeating ISIS, I delivered on the economy – and I crushed the f**e news attempt to destroy me on Russia collusion.”

“It’s a powerful v**e-winning cocktail,” Morgan concluded. “I tweeted last year that my bet was Mueller would find no collusion. Today, I bet that Trump, if nothing serious emerges in any other investigation, will now be re-elected President – and his enemies will have only themselves to blame.”

I see a few things wrong in Piers Morgan's words, specifically where he says Trump stands completely vindicated and that the Mueller report cleared Trump of collusion. According to Bill Barr's letter where he quoted the report ("While this report does not conclude that the President committed a crime, it also does not exonerate him.") there was simply insufficient evidence to call Trump's actions criminal. There is plenty of evidence that collusion (which is not a crime) took place. The real issue is the actions of Team Trump prior to and even after his e******n -- why all the lies and secrecy about what was going on if there was nothing "wrong" with what they were doing?

I am not an expert on American p**********l history, but I would guess that in most past e******ns Congress and the American people in general accepted the e******n results with the feeling that the man with the most popular policy platform -- and perhaps personality -- beat out the other guy, and the country moved on.

But in the case of Trump we have someone who, IMHO, does NOT possess the qualities of a person who dignifies the office of The US President (the list of despicable character traits is too long to list here). And the very fact that so many of the elements of the US government (Congress, Justice Dept, Defence Dept, National Security, etc), respected journalists and authors all questioned what was going on in the background -- none of which we yet know the details of -- speaks volumes about the suitability of Trump to lead the nation. He has tried to run the government the way he runs his businesses (c***ting, lying, bending the rules for personal gain and self-gratification, etc), and sadly he has severely damaged the image of the US as the paragon of democracy in the free world.

Some Americans, especially the Trump supporters, might say that as a non-American I should stay out of American politics. The trouble is that the US is not an isolated entity in the world. Trump's actions, his personality, and his practice of humiliating political enemies -- even international leaders who do not exalt him -- has changed the entire world, and that means his presidency is affecting me.

I love the US as a country, I have travelled it extensively, I have lived there on several occasions, and I respect Americans as a people; but I have no respect for Trump. I believe history will not be kind to this man, and I believe that the sooner he is removed from office the better the country will be.

Make America Great Again -- and get rid of this jerk!!! Surely with a population of almost 330 million you can find someone better to lead the country.

Get your head on straight. Can you read??? NO EVIDENCE OF COLLUSION. PERIOD. I agree, Trump will win in 2020 because the country is s**k of i***t democrats, who, despite a report saying Trump did not collude with Russia, continue to i***tically say he did. Avenatti the creepy porn lawyer was the darling of the democrats, now charged with extortion. Hildabeast paraded out the hollywood stars, to no avail. Look at the i***ts running against Trump. Nuff said. Trump will win.

If you fail to beat Trump in the e******n, you make bold attempts to bully State E*****rates to change their v**es from T***p w*n states to cast v**es for Hillary. When that fails, you alter your strategy and try the impeachment process which never comes to fruition, doesn't even come to a v**e, all bark no bite. When that failed, next step is to accuse Trump of colluding with the Russians call him a Russian special agent, then to top it off you add the obstruction charge, both failed miserably. When that failed, now on to SDNY and who else knows what's next? I won't even address Stormy Daniels and the accusations of the Emoluments Clause which is pure conspiracy.

"Today, I bet that Trump, if nothing serious emerges in any other investigation, will now be re-elected President – and his enemies will have only themselves to blame.” Piers Morgan hedging his bold prediction.

" ... if nothing serious emerges in any other investigation ... " Indeed!

Whoop it up fellas. Big Perp1 has not been appointed 'King of the Eagle Scouts'. His low character always
cuts through the bronzer and the people, on both sides, have had a gutful of this unfit menace. just sayin'

"Me and all my kids are the most decorated Eagle Scouts ever! Not many people believe that, go figure."

I could care less about who the president/king/prime minister/leader of a "s**t-hole country" is (even the DPRK until "rocket man" figured out how to build nukes) because it doesn't affect me directly. But when we are talking about the President of the United States of America, the most powerful man in the world and, purportedly, the Leader of the Free World -- not to mention that the US and Canada share the world's longest undefended border and that the US is Canada's largest trading partner -- then I DO CARE about US politics.

I said in my previous post that I respect Americans as a people, but I do have to admit my opinion of "y'all" went down a notch or two after the 2016 e******n. I was totally baffled that such a large group of supposedly intelligent adults could not see Trump for the person he really is: conman, bulls**tter, liar, bully, c***ter, egomaniac. He is largely illiterate, unread, uncouth, uneducated, uncultured, undiplomatic, rude, crass, vulgar, pompous, self-absorbed, self-serving, self-indulgent... oh, did I leave out any of the human qualities listed in the "Personal suitability" section of the job description for US President?

Seriously, the man may have been a successful real estate developer and TV mogul (although success in these endeavours can only be claimed if one accepts that the end justifies the means), but he does not possess/demonstrate the traits expected of a US President.

Trainspotter, you suggested I stay out of American politics, but I suggest you take a moment to stop spotting trains and recognize the train you are on; your country is headed for a big train wreck... in painstakingly slow motion. The US was #1 in the world for many years; unfortunately, when you are #1 there is only one way to go -- DOWN. I just didn't think it would happen so soon.

I will close with a crass comment I have made before (but then this is The Attic, so allow me):
- if the US were an Empire, then Trump would be Emperor;
- if the US were a Kingdom, then Trump would be King.
Trump would clearly be most pleased with either of those titles... but we all know that the US is a country.

Please tell us what is about to begin. None of your predictions about Trump has proven to come true. Put your money where your mouth is regarding your president, Donald Trump. I'll take any bet. Put up or shut up.
