Went to my grandmother's farm north of where I live in hopes of catching the rare occurrence of the Northern Lights being visible in Iowa. Sadly, the 3/4 full moon was VERY bright, so no Northern Lights for me!! But I got these very interesting shots of the silos on the property. At first I was disappointed in the graininess, but decided it gave an "old" feel to the photos, which accurately portrays these old silos on the old family farm. Lit by the moonlight on the left side, the yard light on the right.... thanks for viewing!

Thanks! I definately want to try more night time photography as this trip didnt go as planned. As for the Northern lights ... I will have to travel much farther the next time as this was a very rare opportunity to have them visible in Iowa. I just wasnt North enough this time!
