Four Peaks wilderness area in Tonto National Forest. NE of Phoenix. We were there while Phoenix area had so many downpours!

Yes, those downpours are something. You can get washed away if you try to ford one of those otherwise "dry gulches" Besides the downpours, they provide some beautiful skies and some fantastic lightening shows. Glad you made it out of there safe and sound.

Yes, we stayed away from the washes. The sky was beautiful!
