A visitor to my backyard pond and bank.

We live on a golf course and are fortunate to have and pond front and back. The back pond is only about 18 feet front our lanai and is between us and the course. We came home this afternoon and after putting away the groceries finally looked out the back window. We were greeted by the latest addition to our pond wildlife with his toothy grin, enjoying a sunning on our bank. We are glad to have him, he will keep the Nutria down.

With his tail uncurled he is about 5 1/2 feet long from tip to tip

Good shots marsdad. One of the years when we rented a villa in Florida during the night we heard what we thought were very noisy frogs! The following day a neighbour told us it was a crocodile up on the bank near the yard. Hubby kept his distance after that.

Thank you Sylvia, much appreciated. One thing Floridians do not do in watery areas, where there are gators, is to go walking around after dark. That is when gators usually change ponds.
