Lightroom tethering error

I am trying to tether my Nikon D500 to Lightroom Classic CC (v8.2) on a PC (I subscribe to the Creative Cloud). I continue to get a "tether_nikon.exe - System Error." Is says "The code execution cannot proceed because CRClient.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem."

So far I have updated the firmware on the camera, uninstalled and reinstalled Lightroom and still get the same error.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Michael

I hate tethering with any camera using Lightroom. I use Capture One exclusively for that purpose.

I use Nikon's Capture Control 2 for tethering.

Call Adobe. You will be on hold for around 15-30 minutes. The advisor will take control of your computer and trace the source of the problem. They are very helpful.

I tether with my Canon and also get the Nikon error on tether connection so I assume its a bug. It doesn't hinder my Canon connection so I just close the dialog box and happily work with my Canon connected. I agree with the "call Adobe" advice.

Did you load all the Nikon software that came with your camera? Often, third parties rely on .dll files from the camera manufacturer.
