I have been using Affinity for the last several months and like it better than PS. My original idea was to do away with PS altogether and use Affinity only. My problem is that I cannot center my images when using the Affinity print program. All images are offset to one side no matter what I do. Has any one had this same problem? What is the solution?

Yes, they need to upgrade the print function. Here’s what I found:

Here's a better tutorial but not specific to positioning:

Thanks ecobin. The upshot is that AP needs to rectify this serious problem. The work arounds are too complicated and cumbersome. The printing problem has been noted since 2016 and AP has bot yet responded. That is a shame.

I found that one already and, as you suggest, did not solve the problem.

There are several upgrades that would make Affinity the go to app. The main one for me is that it uses so much ram - much more than Photoshop. I have 16 gb ram and that’s more than sufficient to have many images open at the same time in Photoshop but only a few in Affinity.

Use your printer driver software to create a custom page size. Define the paper size and margins the way you want them.

Epson printers often default to .56" at one end of a sheet, with the other sides being .12 or .17 inches. Other brands often do something similar. But Epson can print borderless. They just don't guarantee the absolute quality of the area outside the standard margins, but I've never had a problem with it.

You may be able to create a custom layout in Affinity Photo. See your documentation.

Could export to Lightroom if you have it. If your subscriber to adobe you could get LR6 if your dropping your subscription. There is also a program called Qimage that's around $75.00 last time I looked that's great for printing. All this reply is if you can't get Affinity straightened out.

Thanks. I do not have LR anymore but I still have PSCC and I use it to do my printing. It works fine but it still is an extra few steps that I wouldn't have to take if AP would get their ducks in line.

I have been making my own prints since 1998, and to date have yet to be happy with the results I get with any of the following - Photoshop, LIghtroom, DXO, Capture One, Photoline, Paint Shop Pro, etc - they all are much harder to use than it needs to be.

I suggest you give Qimage a try - the best software for printing - hands down.

I just tried it and it worked without a hitch so I went ahead and bought it. Thanks for the suggestion.
