I shoot exclusively with Olympus, and the set-up you are considering is what's in my hand maybe 80% of the time. The camera is tough as nails. I've taken it into snow, ice, rain, beach, desert, and swampy conditions and it has never faltered, nor has any other of the Oly cameras I own or have owned. The only repair any of mine have ever had was when my grandson used one for a step-stool and the touchscreen didn't hold him up well.

The output of the camera has served me well. I've won several contests and an endowment, and had a couple of gallery shows, shooting mostly nature, birds, and outdoor stuff, but I use this system for family trips, portraits, and street photography as well. There's a ton of lenses available in the m43 sector but I also use non m43 lenses with adapters. It's a lightweight system that lets me stuff 2 cameras and 5 lenses in a carry bag and not break 5 lbs total.

I have a friend who's primarily a raptor photographer who swapped his Canon full frame kit for this camera and the Panasonic long lenses, and he says he has not given up anything but weight.

My last experience with Olympus was with an OM-1....a 35mm SLR. It was good, and I had no complaints, except that I couldn't easily get lenses / other accessories for it where I lived, and the internet did not exist then. I gave the OM-1 to a relative, and started using Canons, and Nikons, before going totally Nikon. I haven't heard that Olympus had gotten terrible in the intervening years, so I'd say their quality is generally up there with Nikon, and Canon. I HAVE heard rumors that M4/3 is dying, so I would be concerned about that. Of course, Rumors have said that Apple is dead, since about 1979, or so, and Apple is still here, and still selling computers, and still making about a billion dollars per quarter. So, M4/3 may be around for some time to come. Who knows? If you think M4/3 is what would work for you, go for it.

I dabbled lightly in mirrorless, via a Nikon 1, S3 I bought used. It finally broke down, and I am considering replacing it with a Nikon 1 J5. The Nikon 1 line is now obsolete, and discontinued, but still working cameras should be good to use. They are small, lightweight, affordable, and can take both Nikon 1 format lenses, and Nikon F-Mount lenses with and a Nikon FT-1 lens mount adaptor. It's sensor is smaller than a M4/3 sensor, so if small is your thing, consider it. Let us know what you finally decide.
