I guess after 46 years he has learn to accept you. Otherwise he wouldn’t have mugged it up for the camera. Nice going by the both of you.
Thanks Frank - we got along great, and I miss him.

Thanks Annie for the nice comments and I'm glad you liked it. You are absolutely right about Pop being a character, and we still tell his many stories.

Einreb - a pretty girl is powerful motivation for a young guy, and I was no exception.

If he yelled, "Jump!" I would yell, "How high!" Nice photo.
I'm glad you liked the picture Bigmike1 - it's one of my favorites. Your comment made me laugh (because it's so close to being true)

More like Brando to me. Perhaps a New Jersey Don. Looks a lot like the men in my family. Nice image any way I look at it. Thanks.
Looks like someone whose offer I'd never refuse.

I'm glad you liked it Zario. I think Pop would have been more okay being compared to a Don than Brando, but I think either one fits pretty well.

Raymond - for sure. Imagine meeting Pop the first time you go to pick up your date
I really enjoy the image and the story. Even though he looks very intimidating, and I can only imagine putting my self in your place as a young man interested in his daughter, I can almost see him breaking into a grin. And he has huge hands as you said. What did he do for a living?
Hi fergmark. It's almost like you know him. He was always smiling, and knew a ton of jokes (most of which were off color). Aside from playing bass with his country western band known as the "Shed House Trio", he worked as an exterminator.

Exterminator - a fitting title for the portrait

He would look even scarier if the photograph was converted to B&W. Good portrait!
