You didn't say how the filter broke, but in any case I don't think I'd worry about broken glass getting inside the lens. I'd be more concerned about other damage to the lens: the outer glass of the lens, the threads for mounting filters, focusing mechanisms, etc. If all that seems OK, just keep on shooting.
