On my local Craigs List, gee I better jump on it before it's gone.
Yeah, jump on it! Fast.
Maybe they have more than one at that price.
I would suggest checking the serial number with Nikon or the local police to make sure it belongs to the person selling it. Otherwise, if it works, get it fast!

It's the old story, if it's too good to be true, forget it.

I doubt they have, likely collecting phone numbers to sell.
Be careful touching it, you may burn your fingers.

If the owner registered it, Nikon will know who the rightful owner is. If it was stolen and the rightful owner reported it to the police, likely as not, they reported the serial number as a way to identify it. A call to both may keep you from buying a hot item.

The seller probably doesn't even have an 850. Follow through with the ad and the "seller"will ask for money, before you see or receive any camera.
This is a common scam.

I am sure it's not stolen but rather the person listed it doesn't have it. The craiglist poster only wants your money, no camera is really involved. I also sure that although it listed on Craiglist the seller wouldn't sell it in person. They may even refer you to a fake Ebay listing.
It's just plain fun to read.... I don't think anybody falls for it.
What, it doesn’t include the 70-200 f2.8; it’s definitely a ripoff.
Don't meet up with them in a dark alley somewhere!
As others have said... Run! It is likely a scam. One more step in the scam is for the seller to ship a box of about the same weight & size, but to the wrong address. Then, the seller can prove they shipped it (the decoy) and, that it was delivered... All shown by the shipping receipt. It's getting worse folks! 😳 Let's all be careful out there!
ask for the Serial Number.
