I just ordered one in LN condition for $256. The reviews seem good but I was wondering if there are any happy UHH users. Will be used on Pentax. I have been considering this lens for $399 but the $256 price made me bite.
That's a good price, and Sigma has a good reputation. I've had several Sigmas, and I still have at least one.

I have one of the variable aperture models for my APS-C Nikon DSLRs and like it a lot...Here's an image I took with it...

I have one for Nikon APS format, and it's one of my favorites.

I've got an f/3.5 version on Canon gear and love it. When I bought it, I didn't think I'd use it as much as I do.
There are at least two 10-20 Sigmas. I use a 10-20 f/3.5 constant aperture on my A mount Sony Cameras. Mostly Real Estate Photography, but also for some WA landscapes. The lens is really comfortable to use. Excess distortion is cleaned up in LR, although, I believe DxO also has Profiled the Lens. Sharp (very) at f/4 or smaller and not soft. A great bargain. If your Pentax is APS-C, then you will have a 15-30 mm lens equivalent, which is a very useful range. Have fun. BTW, keep the lens hood on for all your shots and watch for dirt on the front element.

If you question the reviews given by those who have and use Sigma why would the reviews given here carry any more weight? Are their responses not a review.
I have the Sigma 10-20mm 3.5f for Nikon and love it.
My Sigma 10-20 f3.5 does a very good job. Only issue was a few months before the warranty ran out, it stopped auto focusing. Manual focus was good, but not when the camera asked it to focus. Sent it in to Sigma, who installed new software. (At least that is what I got out of the cryptic, brief, statement as to what they did to it.) Works great again. Bottom line is that it is a very good lens. 👍👍
I used mine exclusively on our Utah canyons tour. Great results. Just be aware that you can get some leaning verticals if you point it too far up or down. I kind of liked the effect but I didn’t do it on purpose. Compositions with a strong element in the foreground work better, tremendous depth of field. Sweeping views can be stunning too.
The Sigma 10-20 is an excellent lens. You will be very happy with it!

When did I question the reviews, I asked UHH users who was happy with it.

You got that lens at a very good price. Sigma makes excellent lenses. I have the Sigma 10-20(EOS mount) and am very happy with it. If I may suggest getting a polarizing filter(82mm), purchase one with a thin mount.
