I’m looking for a zoom for wildlife. I had this ad brought to my attention on my eBay notifications.
I read in my manual for my Nikon D3200 I use an F Mount .
Does anyone know if this will work?

It should be fine because the lens has its own (HSM) focusing motor. Your D3200 doesn't have a built-in focusing motor so you need lenses that have their own focusing motor.

MT Shooter on this forum would be the best authority on this since he owns a camera store. He probably knows about this lens.

Nikon has been using the F-mount since 1959. They just came out with the new Z-mount for their mirrorless cameras.

Just a FYI, I have that lens in Sony mount and use it for birding/wildlife frequently. I like it a lot. It does focus slowly and wanders a bit.

Yes, it will absolutely work just fine on your D3200. And it will work just as well on every Nikon DSLR ever made to date, bar none.
HSM means AF will work as well. And OS means it has stabilization to assist with effective hand held shooting.

Do yourself a BIG favor, buy the Nikon 200-500 f5.6 lens. It will work and will not break the branch. And, in the long run, it is sharper than many, many other zooms for the price. You will thank me once you see your results with this lens.
