Entered this in a contest over at Shift art. Didn't win but had some fun making it up using 5 of their images.

Thank you. This was my first time I entered the contest and after seeing all the entries I have a better idea of what makes a winner. I should have used a different outdoors image and had more color around the young man.

A new contest started yesterday with a large assortment of images to work with. I will get it started shortly and see if I can do a better job.

At the end of the day if you are happy with it that's what counts and Judges will more often then not pick out what they think is wrong with it according to them... Do you have to use their pictures or can you use some of your own... I enjoy doing composites so will look forwards to seeing your next one..

You can mix but you have to have 5 of theirs in the final Composite. Each one will have a theme.

I never heard of Shift Art so I just went to the website. WOW! I like to think I can create
an interesting composite but I looked at the work over there and it blew me away. I checked
out the August images and drew a blank. I think it's because I strive for real and they
strive for unreal. The unreal is so much harder and I just could not even figure where to
begin. This brings me to your image; I stand in awe of the work that went in to
just conjuring up the idea! The workmanship appears to be top notch - wonderful. I will
look in at this website again ... it showed me an entire new world for creating composites.

On this one I knew what I was going to do right away. But for July's and August I cant't get started. I like the choices of pictures to work with but I can't figure out how to make something interesting out of them. I would need to go back and look but I think you have to use at least 4 different pictures to make a composite for your entry. Hope I find some inspiration next month, it will start around the 20th of the m month.
