Hello.

No, the river is I am pretty sure the Payette river, but for sure it flows out of Payette Lake in McCall, Idaho. I used to know these things but have forgotten over the years. I am hoping I get to go up there again this year, and get some more pictures of beautiful places in the McCall area. It is an absolutely beautiful resort town in central Idaho. A friend I grew up with has a home up there, but he says he is putting it on the market for sale. So so much for that. Still I hope to get up there and take pictures.

Hi there. Thanks for sharing. My two bits, which ironically also not worth much...I better like the stronger moodiness of your second image. And in line with someone's constructive criticism about not liking cropped trees; my thoughts would be to crop even tighter so branch silhouettes fill the frame, and the glow from the sun fills more of the image and has a more dramatic impact. Might change what you intended to invoke though.

Well, this is the same picture, which I did before, but didn't think anyone would be interested in it. It doesn't have the sunlight though. Anyway, I suppose it qualifies as a tighter crop. Actually its not, the white just covers up some of the tree.

Oops, this may not be the same tree. I took a very similar picture of another tree right afterwards. But I think it is the same. The other tree was very similar though.
