I am having a recent problem with my photos and don't know if it's the memory card or camera. The problem I am having is everytime I go out on a shoot and view my photos every second or fourth photo is totally black. What is going on?
Do you have exposure bracketing set where the camera is moving the exposure + / - large amounts every 2nd or 4th image?

I agree. That would be the first thing to check. Are the other photos in your shoot exposed correctly?
Just random shots all others come out great and I always check settings.
All other shots come out with no problems.
Post a black one and store original. We might see something in the EXIF data that points to the cause.
Lighting can be a problem too
Lights “flicker”

Thank you.
Will you be posting a sample of the problem soon?
Yes at work right now will post when done.
Check the meta data to see if there is any exposure.
Are you shooting raw? Open it in LR and push the exposure slider all the way to the right. See if there’s an image hiding there. Also, if you have your camera set to display the results after the shot, is there anything besides black?

First you said specifically every second or fourth shot. When bracketing was suggested you changed it to random. ????

Is the 2d or 4th photo a RAW? If that is the case, update your OS.
