Very interesting plant and a nice photo floridareel. Do you photograph on the Loop Road frequently? I have been in the SW Everglades a few times, Shark Valley and Flamingo 3 times but never the Loop Road. It’s on my list for next winter as we will be leaving Florida in a couple of weeks. Any advice for shooting on the Loop Road?

One of the members of our group has been visiting loop road for many years.
As a team we've started to go out and film and take pictures out on the loop for about 2 months now.
From what I hear there are many opportunities out on the loop road, just like anything just a matter of being in a certain spot at the right time. If you continue west past shark valley as you approach the big bend you have the entire loop road traveling west. You can continue west through Ochopee and approaching Everglades City with wonderful locations.
One spot to definitely check out on Loop Road is the Sweetwater strand.
