Yes I did...It was nice to get out to some place I haven't been to before, got in a couple of miles of walking in the process to, so over all I guess it was a good day...

Hi Tom, There are still a few eagles at Jordan Lake and on the Haw river just below the dam as well as a nesting pair with chicks on the walking trail at Shelley Lake Park in Raleigh; about 2.5 and 3 hours drive away from your town respectively. If you go to the Haw River and don't see eagles there are hundreds of Ospreys fishing there currently to keep you occupied. I was there last week and photographed eagles and ospreys (as well as great blue eagles like the one in your photo

Hey thanks for that info...I have actually been thinking of driving up to Jordan Lake as I have seen many phots of Eagles from the lake on some other sites I belong to. I would love to be able to make the ride up but hard to make time for an almost 6 hr. round trip plus the photo time......longggg day..maybe I could convince the boss lady to let me make it an overnighter....lol
