Jim, Good shots! Looks like these could be some of the last images of this structure. A shame really, as old barns make for great photos.

Yes, it is a shame as I sure enjoy photographing them. We get by that way occasionally so I'll keep taking photos until it is no longer. Thanks for commenting!!

Really like old barn PICS. That one is close to falling. When I see a barn still standing in that condition I think of an old person refusing to submit to old age and defiant against the wind. Well done..

Thank You Oldman...appreciate you looking and commenting and I like your analogy!!

No.3 is really cool. Makes me want to blow at the image.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting cameraf4. And, actually it was a little windy while I was there so I was careful not to get too close!!

Love all of these....when I see these old structures....just wonder about all the stories that could be told if they could talk!

Thanks Cindy. Got a little story for you...some years back we were traveling through WY and stopped at a farm estate sale. The house and barn had seen better times but I still took a few photos. While photographing the barn, an old gentleman commented to me "I wonder how many girls were kissed in that barn"...I told him the barn doesn't tell tales!!

I especially like #1. I'm pretty sure there is a pretty nice b/w version lurking nearby.

Thanks fergmark...You are right, I always forget to try B&W...I'll take a stab at one of the barn.

That is probably in the offing as this farmland is being developed for housing.

Great set. The old barns are wonderful subjects but it's really sad when they finally go, and almost worse when they are torn down to make room for "progress."

Thanks for commenting axiesdad...and progress is what is taking this barn down. They are developing houses on the far side of the field so it won't be long.

I know exactly what you mean my friend, with all my aching bones, I have to fight to sleep, then fight to get up in the morning, oh well, life happens.

People are paying good money for old barnwood that can be repurposed. A nice alternative unless the wood is too rotten. Great images BTW👍

Yes, and they are our Golden Years! No matter what time I go to bed, its hard for me to sleep past 4:30am...often I just get up and head out to a marsh to look for wildlife to photograph. As you can surmise, my wife likes to sleep late!! In the meantime, I'm learning to live with my new knee. It is working great, just has a strange feel to it as I walk. Still, no pain or problems so I'm happy...can walk normally up/down stairs, something I haven't done in years.

Yeah, I hear you but not sure that barn wood fad is still going strong. So many in our area just fall down or are torn down and nobody wants the wood...wish they would.
