Actually We are not seeing a rise in storms, droughts, or fires or floods. What we do see is the the damage that these thing cause and the expense of same, is much more than in the past. WHY? Inflation and the drastic cost increase of things. Also poor planning and poor land managemnent lead to disasters

I think you will find that we are experiencing not more storms but more intense storms. Hurricanes are getting more intense. For example the record cyclone that just hit East Africa and the hurricanes that hit our own East Coast this past year.

There also head been severe draughts on the west coast. The winters here in Minnesota have become shorter and milder in my lifetime. Temperatures in the -25 to -30 used to be fairly common, eons ago when I was a child. It is a rare event now. (Although we still have a lot a snow to send down the mississippi. We had record snowfall totals in February).

Tornadoes have become more intense. A recent one was around a mile wide. Years ago, a tornado came through a couple of miles from where I live, it however was less than a 1/4 mile wide.

The newspaper said just this past week that record high temps are outpacing record low temps 2 to one.

Everyone thanks about the Antarctic but nothing about the Arctic. The effects of g****l w*****g is much more profound in the Arctic. Here is an excerpt from: https://www-forbes-com.cdn.ampproject.org/v/s/www.forbes.com/sites/trevornace/2018/12/10/arctic-sea-ice-is-growing-faster-than-before-but-theres-a-catch/amp/?

"Over the past few decades, sea ice across the Arctic Ocean has gotten smaller and thinner. Compared to the 1980s, today’s end-of-summer Arctic sea ice extent is about half. Since 1958, Arctic sea ice lost about two-thirds of its thickness, with nearly three-quarters of Arctic sea ice forming and melting each year."

Nice to see you all bent out of shape.

A pleasure to see the result that one person can make on the populace

Sorry to disapoint you but I'm not bent out of shape. I just sitting back watching and enjoying the damage trump is inflicting on the Republican party. ( Blurry, if you are there, does my using this name cause less aggravation to you? Btw, it's the Democratic party, not the "demonic" party.)

Wait, you said you will have to read this but then make the claim that what you didn't read doesn't support the theory that the grand canyon and the Chesapeake bay were carved out by glaciers?? LOL

People on both sides have been making these stupid and ignorant claims that the other party is being destroyed for decades now. So yes I would have to say you are bent out of shape.

I don't think these two geologic structures belong in the same basket. The Chesapeake Bay may will have been carved out by a glacier, as was Lakes Superior and Michigan.

However, it appears that the Grand Canyon developed through the eons as the Colorado River drained water westward From the mountains. During these millions of years, the land slowly uplifted exposing the soft sedimentary sea deposits to erosion. The river kept flowing on an irregular path(as rivers do) and thus created the width and depth of the canyon.

If both sides make this claim, then according to you logic, you and all your fellow rightwingers are bent out of shape.

What a ridiculous thing to be arguing about.

Through your ridiculous arguments and lack of any supporting evidence or documentation on this and other threads, you have lost all credibility.

Obakapig care. $1,000 a month $4000 deductible 60/40. Meaning after all the lies you’re still out and owe 40%.

So let’s see a $200,000 hospital bill. You owe $80,000. After paying $4,000.

You’ve never had kkkredibility. If you didn’t know this, head in sand syndrome is your issue.

The point is that this is evidence that the Grand Canyon could have been carved out by a massive flood as demonstrated by the canyons I posted about earlier. Why are you opposed to science?

They were carved out as the glaciers retreated, retreating glaciers melt down causing massive floods through ice melt and also increased atmospheric humidity causing increased rainfall and flash flooding.

Sorry, Oh Wise One but I scanned the article. It does not have sufficient information to reach a conclusion as to the Grand Canyon. Thus I had said that I would read it. I also intend to do a bit of research as the fact that it happened once, doesn't mean it happens always.
It may take some time to get all the information I need, but in the meantime, I hope your driveway experiment is going well. I'm sure if you keep it up, you'll find that in 6 million years you will have a quite impressive canyon in front of your house.

LOL You are such a liar, you said you didn't read it and "I will have to read it later, now you spin it and say you I scanned. It does not have sufficient information to reach a conclusion as to the Grand Canyon." I gave you scientific evidence that is is very possible for a canyon to be carved out in a short amount of time from phys.com and you still reject science lol. Nice try at spinning the facts but no cigar.

Rac,
I don't reject science.
I do reject you, but that's a whole other story.
Now go back outside and continue pouring water on the driveway.
