Jesus told his disciples that He would rise again in 3 days. From Good Friday to Easter Sunday is only 2 days. The explanation which I got from a good knowledgeable priest is that in the ancient Jewish way of counting days, they always started with day 1 as the day of the beginning of the count, day 2 in the middle (Saturday), and day 3 (Sunday) as the day of completion....thus Jesus rose from the dead after 3 days, as He predicted.
