Very nice image. At ISO 2000 the image seems very clear of Digital Noise.

I look at all photos as a painting, being an life long artist! This is wonderful. Just look at those eyes!! Wow! There is a wonderful sense of drama in this photo, and the lighting is soooo very good. I don't know how you put all of those wonderful things together on this creature, but you did a fine job! JESS

JESS, Thanks for your kind observation. I hope you paint him.

As an avid Trekker, I feel compelled to borrow a thought from one of the scenes out of a Star Trek movie - - following Earth's successful deployment of warp drive, this lion is viewing the descent of the First Contact ship from Vulcan: and rather than being amazed, instead he presents an expression of understanding...

Too much personification ??? Maybe just sooo many years of animal interaction (Hahaha...)

No, the timing was wrong and, sadly, I wasn't able to go to Africa, but I've worked about 50 years in animal welfare, care and rescue. I've had a special interest in interspecies non-verbal communication, where the focus is not only on one's energy feeling, but also often on their "look", especially in the eyes. You might say that your photo "spoke" to me.

(ps - - they do the same, energy-wise, and they particularly watch our eyes...)

You are my kind of lady. Why, because you have worked about 50 years in animal welfare. At Out Of Africa all their animals have been rescued.

I checked out their website - - it seems like a wonderful place to be - - although I wish that I could visit, I'm just not able to do that (wah!), nonetheless, I'll look into your past posts and keep watching for your new photos !!!
