Colorful sunset

Our little retmt community staged a St. Paddy's Day celebration Saturday evening, March 16. The event got underway abt 5:30, with lots of stew pots on the warm. Folks were decked out in Irish green finery, and Irish glee was abundant. The partiers started for home just abt sunset, and when we came out, this is what awaited us. These two shots were taken just a minute or so apart, in slightly different perspective.

Tks Grandpaw. Sorta lucky on these ‘cause I didn’t do much composing. Wasn’t too much need to compose ‘cause most everything in front of me was washed in that magnif red.

you are correct about the sunset being colorful. It sure is !!! Nice.

I like the first one best, Dean. Just kinda wish that you had pointed the lens a tad higher to get more of that amazing red sky and less "dead space" at the bottom. IMHO.

Thanks f4. ‘Preciate the comment. That band of beautiful red was not very high, I think most of it is captured in the shot. Might could have cropped it a tad more, but, oh well, . . .
