I'M needing some help:
I got my new iMac last week, got it all set up and doing fine. Next I signed up for PSCC, no problems load and installing. My Problem is ME I can't seem to edit my files, Found a big difference in how CC functions from CS6.
I know I need to learn the software, so please don't tell me how good it is.
At this time I have installed CS6, but don't have the update for Camera raw for Nikon D800/810.
I downloaded and installed a DNG. converter, it works but is time consuming.
I gave my old computer to my G/F, I hope I didn't dump the stored Downloads. If I did your my only help until I figure out CC.
Does anyone have the Down load file from Adobe camera raw 8.6 ?
I'd like to help. Upgrading often presents problems before the rewards start rolling in.
Not sure of what you want. You should be able to do all that you want (edit, camera raw, dog open) in the latest PS.
I don't remember specifically back to stand alone CS 6 conversion to CC, but, in general, my workspaces, etc., have updated to the newest version.
Feel free to ask me any questions, but I suggest you take a gander at what is offered if you google "ps cc 2019 workspaces". May solve all of your problems.
Oh, I don't know how you start up Photoshop, but if you use the Dock, you will need to drag the newest version from your Applications folder into it.
Nope , it goes right to CC, tried it
been there, done that!!!!
I an looking for the ORIGINAL raw converter 8.5 download. The one I downloaded for CS6 on my old computer.
I have the download from that link, its a pita. but will get me working.
Another loser!! took forever to get rid of it , But thanks for your help.
no more links please.
I have PS CC but they will have to pry CS6 from my cold dead hands.

There may not be that much to learn that you don't already know. Where are you having problems? I finally deleted CS6 from my computer about a year ago because though it was largely similar, the benefits of the things that are in CC that weren't in CS6 were worth the pain to learn. A glass of wine (or the whole bottle), the door locked with a sign on it that says "unavailable until further notice" and nothing else to distract you, you'll pick up what you need to know probably before you finish your glass of wine, or most certainly the bottle, and you'll have a lot of fun doing it.
You are correct - converting to dng, while certainly possible, is a pain in the butt. And you still should keep your original raw files so that you can address them with other raw converters that may not necessarily read dng files.
You can download ACR 8.6 here:

Thank you very much, But I already have the converter.
I am hoping someone who has the ORIGINAL update saved in their downloads from a previous installation.
If not I'M screwed until I figure out how to CC functioning like CS6.
