Finally Configured BBF On My Sony RX10 IV

It's an effort to improve focus and shutter release with the slight Parkinson's in my right hand.
I think it may help. It certainly will take concentration on my part. Been using shutter button for focus and release for almost 20 years of digital photography.
My thanks to the many UHH subscribers who help and offer suggestions.

I still have both on the shutter button of my two Canon DSLR's.

Good luck with that Mark, I hope it helps.
I switched to BBF around four years ago, it doesn't take long for it to become an automatic reflex.

Thanks. It probably won’t take very long.

Mark, I'm glad you are finding something that helps. Which button did you configure for it?

Temporarily, the AEL. I've considered using the left button.
Thanks,
Mark

Mark, hope this helps you so you can continue enjoying photography.
My experience is no near yours, but I can say that switching took me less than I expected.

Just in case...when you mentioned "I still have both on the shutter button of my two Canon DSLR's", if that means that you still have focus in the shutter button, keep in mind that after focusing with BB, the focus may change when using the shutter button, so picture may have different focus than the one set with BB

Hi Mark, Here is a link to the little clear sticky bumps I told you about before. One of the half sphere sizes in there are perfect fit on the AEL button. It really helps you get used to using BBF because you can always feel it under your thumb.

Thanks Tomad. We have a variety of those at home. Maybe I'll try one. I'm not having too much trouble becoming accustomed to the AEL button. It's mainly a memory/habit factor I have to "reprogram".

Mark, the center of the "wheel" on the back is pretty easy to feel and use.
