sv. Jože (St. Joseph)
Today is the Feast of St. Joseph, a quieter and much more important observance than Patrick. Happily it is binge-drinking is not part of the celebration. While in Ljubljana I lived with the community at sv. Jože (St. Joseph) Church. The altar was designed by Jože Plečnik, the foremost architect in Slovenia.
The commies confiscated the church after WW II to use as a movie production studio and a few other nefarious functions. It was finally restored to the Society in 1996. Much work to be done to restore and complete.

Nice photos, Father Jack.
Thanks for the feedback and comments. Sv. Jože is a great place to shoot. Large clear windows present great light and occasionally very challenging light.
Beautiful. I’ve been missing your Ljubljana photos.

Thanks for commenting. I'm missing LJ real bad. Trying to get back this summer but not certain if it is possible. Next summer yes but this year is going to be a challenge.
Beautiful and very nice work photographing it.

Thanks. At the moment the church, except for the altar, is stark. No stained glass. Great light.

thanks. It is a lot easier getting these kinds of results when in possession of the key. I was able to go over any time I wanted and frequently did.
