Happy to be back. Figured I would start off with a sailboat, abandoned and washed up on the shore in SW Florida. Please... any critique welcome. Always looking to do better. Lots to learn. Canon 28-135 IS lens on T3 (crap camera... liked my XTi over this one). See you in many more posts soon.

Nicely composed. Living in New Orleans, I remember many such scenes following Hurricane Katrina.

Thanks. I am an amateur that gets lucky more frequently now. I think I have seen you on other sites. This was my original home and I love it here so probably wont be on the other sites much longer. Happy Shooting.

Welcome back, Bill. I, too, am returning after about a 6 year absence.

Nice composition, Bill. I would have removed the boat in the background. it sorta draws the ey away from your subject. Otherwise, I really like it.

This one is just people abandoning sailboats I believe. It is a problem here.

I was in Utah during Katrina. I lived near Lake Charles many years back and my heart really went out to the victims of that nightmare. The photographer in me wanted to make the trip as did the carpenter but that was the beginning of my medical problems that put me down for so any years. I got to play in Irma down here though and that was fun (I have a twisted sense of enjoyment).

Bad habit of mine to put in more instead of less. I am not trying hard enough I guess lol. Thank you for the critique.

Looks like it could be on the cover of "The Old Man and the Sea."
