I love the photos, but from my perspective it has been overly edited. Not that this distracts, but I enjoy photos straight from the camera with little editing if any. Each to his own I suppose.

1st is a shot of the Bass Harbor Lighthouse & the 2nd is of the coastline in Bar Harbor. Both were shot with a Canon EOS 5dIV & EF 24-105mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM.

Very nice, Frank.

I haven't decided which camera to take on this cruise. I wonder if my Canon G16 will suffice. It's small, light, and easy to carry around in a jacket pocket. The P900 is a great camera, but a bit bulky, I think, and I'm not sure I want to take my Sony A6300 and three lenses with me. Just more to have to carry around. The G16 reaches from 28--140mm, with a. "smart" zoom gives more reach without loss of image quality.

Hello Greg ... nice to hear from you. I'm going to give you a "sorta" answer ... meaning I'm probably not the guy to ask because I don't know Sony (although I've given thought to switching to them). So that said, I would think a 28-140 lens with an electronic zoom beyond that will give you sufficient reach for most sights you'll see. I recently did a 6+ week tour of the US & Canada & while I took my 500 mm F/4 prime lens, it only came in handy in Yellowstone ... in fact very handy. But I was traveling by car, not a ship & moving around. Otherwise, I shot with a 24-105 f/4L & a 100-400 f/4.5-5.6 L lens. Don't know if that's helpful, but hope it is. As an aside, I'm going to PM you with my contact in case you have questions. I won't be up in that area of Maine when you are, but I'm closer than your friends in AK. Hope you have a great trip.
