When cloning in PS my image rotates 90 degrees all by its self. Why?

I've never seen that. Which tool are you using?

Adobe is very helpful when you call them. If you are using CC. I don't know if they support PS6 anymore.

That is odd. Somebody here will be able to help. Unfortunately I am not one of them. I have no clue because I have not experienced that.

Please provide more information, a few some screen shots would help.

I did find this:

Rotating the Clone Tool Source:
https://www.glyndewis.com/photoshop-tip-rotating-clone-tool/?v=7516fd43adaa

PHOTOSHOP TIP: Rotating the Clone Tool
Open the Clone Source Properties (Window – Clone Source)
With the Clone Tool active, ALT/OPTION + Click to set source.
Highlight the Angle in the Clone Source Properties.
Use SHIFT + UP / DOWN ARROW to change angle.

Have you accidentally pressed the "r" key? (rotate view) or clicked and held the hand button to activate the rotate view key?

The clone tool has a properties and settings window where you set the angle of clone rotation, or mirror, etc.

With that, you can continue a circle arc from the source and a myriad of other cloning feats. Check youtube, there are multiple teaching videos of the settings.

I've never had that happen. There have been times when I wanted to rotate the clone sample, but not the image itself. That's weird.
