Located on Marl Pit Road, Middletown DE. looks to be from the early 1800's, original to the left then a slightly newer wing. Note the 7 fire places. As I remember it has been bordered up for over 30 years.

Really like the wheel barrow in the yard - a suggestion that something is going to happen.

Beautiful photos of a great old building. I wonder if it might have been an inn at one time. I would love to go inside to see what it looks like. I see old buildings like this, in fairly decent condition and wonder if it could be brought back to its former state of excellence.

There were some other things sitting around and a trailer behind the building with some one living in it. so i do not think anything will happen. Would love to look inside, not possible.

Wow, this would be a real project of "Love" of restoration for a Skilled craftsman who would have many hours available to bring this home back to Life. It would be nice to see a historic home such as this one to be made Beautiful once again, if possible.

That must have been some household with 7 fireplaces to feed and there must have been a large family living in it with all hands cutting firewood. Amazing that it is still standing after over 100 years of service.

Thanks for documenting it.

It must have been a grand place and one time, shame that it went to waste.

Sad to see those old houses go ... glad you captured it & nicely done. Went to Ireland where the old homes were made of stone ... many abandoned, roofs gone ... but the walls still standing after being abandoned for 100 years or more. Thanks for sharing.
