A short hike late this afternoon almost took me and my cow-chasing dogs into the middle of this bunch. Thankfully I got the dogs away before they embarrassed me, but I managed to get some shots of the scene from a distance as we made our exit. The new lens, a Tamron 24-70 seems to perform well, and the colors are accurate for this beautiful, almost spring, afternoon. All too soon the grass will dry out and turn "golden." We'll enjoy the green season while it lasts.

Nice set Vicki.

You captured Cali at a very good time, Vicki. Still green. Beautiful images.

Great set Vicki, over here if your dog chases sheep the farmer can legally shoot them.. I have taught Blue to leave horses as there are a lot of riders round here in the lanes and I also taught the stop command. I have not had to use it yet but keep doing it when out so I do not know if the instinct of a collie would take over with him being young if I was in a situation where it was needed around animals or if I would be obeyed

I particularly like the first image, The way the light is playing off of the side of the hillside gives the image a warm welcoming feeling. Nicely done.

Thanks for the thoughtful reply rcarol. I'm glad you liked that one.

We live down the road from a pig farmer and a dairy farmer, both small farms. Our dogs would get loose a couple times a year and go exploring. One farmer warned me that if they bothered the animals I might not see them again. Luckily they weren't animal chasers, even left our chickens alone. Those cows are someone's livelihood.

An acquaintance had a dog that kept getting out. It didn't chase sheep, but got onto a property where they lived and was subsequently shot by the rancher. My dogs wouldn't get shot, but I might get fined.

Very nice Vicki. I like the progression. No sky. A little peek of sky. A little tease, and finally, there is is, mist and all. These are all Mootiful. Sorry. 😁

Thanks for looking and commenting Jan. Actually there was no sky. The light blue is very hazy distant hills, but it sure looks like sky at times.
