I enjoy catching the different personalities of a composition.
Do you ever go back to a spot over and over through out the years?

Either one of these shots alone is great--especially the nighttime shot. Together, however, they are magnificent.
Definitely!
Lots of places on Mount Desert Island in Maine, Valley Forge Park, and a few places in Florida.
A good film along this line is "Smoke" with Harvey Keitel and other fine actors . . .The center of the film is the Brooklyn Cigar Co., at the corner of Third Street and Eighth Avenue in New York City. For Auggie Wren, who owns it, the store is the center of the world - so much so that for many years, every single morning, he stands across the street from it and takes a photograph.
He shows his photo albums to Paul (William Hurt), a writer who is a regular customer: "That's my project. What you'd call my life's work." Paul observes that all the photos are the same. "They're all the same," Auggie says, "but each one is different from all the others."
The film is well worth watching. . .It inspired me to do the same thing a number of years ago. . .However, the photos (about7-8 years worth) "disappeared" in the division of "community" property during my divorce. . .Same as about 700 photos of Alaska; about 600 photos of Scotland; and, 400 or so photos of Ireland. . .Funny how only MY photos disappeared! <smile>
Interesting...nice comparison of day and night. Great job!
In addition to good photography, the two versions make the post very interesting

That is very kind of you to say!
Wonderful twofer! I have a few goto places, but my favorite is the south treeline between us and the orchard next door.
Excellent set, your night shots are always wonderful.
