I put a slice of a ginger rhizome in a dish with shallow water and it has grown a shoot which I used to pose a couple of spiders I found around the house. I am going to plant it up in compost tomorrow, apparently when it is 4ft. high it will be ready to crop. I love ginger.

If you don't mind, let me know about your ginger project. I have grown it, but never got much in the way of tasty root. Never as pungent and sharp as store bought. Pretty plant, tho. FYI. Related to Tumeric, Arrow root and Maranta, and bananas, ( and Bird of Paradise). And ginger bug is good for you and delicious. Maybe your own.

Maybe your own should have been make your own, (ginger, water, sugar, yeast. Ferment a week). Good for what ails you.
