Anyone done definitive image quality comparisons between the 1-Nikkor 11-27.5mm lens and the 10-30mm “kit lens” for the Nikon S1 compact camera? Opinions? Any published test comparisons you know of? Need to replace defective 11-27.5 mm. Thank you.

I have the Waterproof 11-27.5 and the 10-30 PZ model and image quality from them both is identical. I much prefer using the 10-100 PZ lens overall though when size isn't an issue.

Ah yes, the dreaded “kit lens” never to be part of the club. Always held in contempt. Shunned at every turn. If you were to buy it without the camera would it always be a "kit lens" or just a regular lens?
