I have an SB-900 flash that stopped firing. Nikon does not have parts to repair this, so they returned it to me. If any of you have one and are handy at repairs, this could be good for spare parts. The flash shoe is still good and I have the plastic accessory foot, filters, and the diffuser screens. Also still have the case and the manual. Nikon says the problem was the flash tube that needed replacing. I will take the best offer, if you pay the shipping.
i think you can buy flash tubes on ebay that would fit .did it one time .

Yes, they are readily available, and reasonable. Direct from China. You can buy from N.A. sellers, but the price is very different $$$. Looks like an easy repair. Nikon could easily source replacements, must not be enough call for them. Could also be a capacitor, or a connection, unless you can see that the tube is down.
