My local camera store, Hunt’s, offers free cleaning once a year and deeply discounted cleanings at othe times. I also have a rocket blower that has built in filters so that it doesn’t blow stuff into the camera or suck bad air into itself.

Thanks much. I know someone who drives up to Precision Camera in Enfield and another small shop in Warwick. Not much here in the big metropolis, but I'm not moving!

What about Photo Connection in Colechester?

I'm not sure how much they do. Their web site gave no info on services. I stopped there a couple years ago. Nice little shop that excels in printing.

Limit the amount of dust in your home as much as possible. Vacuum carpets at least once a week, dust off surfaces with both a feather duster and damp cloth at least twice a week. If you don't do this, you may as well get used to dealing with a constantly dusty camera.

If I did this I would have to change my entire life style.

Thanks to all for the advice. I work outside in windy Kansas a lot so dust is a part of life. I appreciate all of the input.

Oh, I lived near Wichita and Kansas is just breezy. You want windy and dusty? C'mon down to Amarillo, Texas.

I live about 50 or so min.from milford photo. Every year they host a free olympus clean and check day. Can get my camera sensors cleaned if needed. After 4 years they haven't needed cleaning. They will also do a free firmware update and replace any missing covers. All for free. So...for all you non olympus owners out there, eat your hearts out.LOL

Forgot. They also test the auto focus, check all the functions. Make sure the cameras are up to latest factory specs. Heck of a deal. between drive time and service time, best 2 hours of the day.

Me too, but my wife would most likely buy me a new duster.
