I found this "gem" in Oaks PA. As there are no tracks and no remnants of tracks in the nearby area, I assume that the adjacent company had these cars transported to this site. There won't be much left in a few years and may become a hazard to children - although the closet residential area is about 1/4 mile away.

Those USED to be live tracks, became abandoned. Used to branch off to Phoenixville, and go north, across Egypt Road up towards Collegeville, and down to the north side of the river.

What a crying shame. We have a National Railway Museum (Shildon rail museum) near us that takes in ruined Engines from all over the world, and the resident volunteers put in a lot of work to bring them 'back to life'.

Thanks for viewing - there are at least two railroad museums within an hour of us.

He said there were no tracks. How did they get the tracks from under the trains?

Exactly, I’ll bet kids are all over it when adults aren’t there.

I know. What does that engine weigh? Why use the equipment. Leave the engine and cars on just the length of track(s) they sat on.
