Canon Rebel T1i, "grainy"

Just received this camera from a friend; I know it's a bit outdated but I think that may be a good camera to start with.
My "problem" is that when I enlarge the pictures to 100%, the images looks too "grainy", ( I already tried to lower the ISO and shooting RAW always).
Is this "normal" for this model of camera?. Is anyone in this forum able to provide me a test picture (full res) to compare with mine?.
Thank you for any help , this is my first post.

Create a <Reply> and post a JPEG file directly from the camera being sure to check the store original box and let us have a look at an actual example. Otherwise, we're left to just guess at what the cause might be. An actual example will be more efficient at identifying effective corrective actions to the actual problem. The RAW file, if less than 20MB, will be fine as well. You can't attach a file larger than 20MB, so convert to JPEG or take a specific JPEG file, as needed, to provide an example.

Send image.
I have a T1i and haven't noticed any objectionable problem with noise.
Depends how much you blow it up.
Here's a shot with mine.

Thank you for your picture, yes, you don't have any of the issues I'm noticing.
I'll take mine to a qualified service shop.

It could be a simple matter of a setting on the camera...

Could be as simple as sharpness set all the way down.

Why are you going 100%?

Refresh my memory? What is 100% (other than all of something)?

I had a T1i for several years and didn't note problem you have. Camera is still doing well with son-in-law who attempted being a professional for a period of time.

Unless thr photo being enlarged is 100% perfect, I suspect you may be expecting more from the camera than it can deliver. Have you tried less enlargement or cropping instead of enlarging? Personally I try not to exceed 50% and unless the original is perfect, even that can be a bit much. How large a print are you trying to make?

My question exactly. With that 15mp sensor you get over 4700x3100 pixels. 100% would be a rather large display. Only about 1/4 would fit on your monitor.

I own a T1i and keep it because it is reliable. I also have other Canons including a full frame and no complaints with any.
