The USAF is powering some of it's larger airplanes with coal. It's an experimental program. It does require the addition of a fireman to the crew, along with two shovelers. The only objection to this has been from pilots who voiced concerns regarding live fires within the confines of an aircraft.

And they tow behind the plane a "coal plane" for the huge amount of this low-energy fuel and then they have to stop every 50 miles to fill up with water..... And they have a loud steam whistle they blow to get flying cars and flying people out of the way. It's amazing. Truly unimaginable.... God I hope that post was not serious.

OK, I like to think I'm "open minded" = gullible to some. But help me understand WHY spray fly ash into the atmosphere daily? There would seem to be better ways to get rid of it no matter where it may come from.

Coal fly ash is highly toxic according to the EPA: So toxic that there are special waste dumps for it. The coal fired power plants must use these dumps. The dumps are usually a far distance from the plants, making it very expensive. Our government takes the ash off their hands for free, sends it off to a processing plant where it is mixed with water to become an aerosol. One of these plants is located at Tinker Air Force Base. If you use the "earth view" on Google Maps and go to TINKER AFB you will see the aircraft that are used for spraying. There are at the south side of the base, painted white KC-135 tankers with bigger engines. There are usually 5 or 6 of these aircraft seen in the view.

Sir, you are ridiculing me before even trying to see if there is any truth in what I am saying. I'm sure that if you close your eyes, it will go away. You do not have the guts to enter "chemtrails, HAARP" on Google and read the 246 pages that explains much that you do not want to know. I'm not sure that you will be able to understand the big words that you will encounter.

People are ridiculing you because you are pushing the discredited Chemtrail conspiracy theory. "The claim have been dismissed by the scientific community, and most people do not believe this myth. There is no evidence that purported chemtrails differ from normal water-based contrails routinely left by high-flying aircraft under certain atmospheric conditions."

There is no legitimate science to back up your claim. It looks like you have fallen for a hoax.

Here are two photos taken this morning just one hour apart. They indicate that pre-dawn aerosols were sprayed upwind of our area. The usual aerosols are a mixture of coal fly ash and water. This has been going on for over the past twenty years. Most people have no idea that this trashing of our atmosphere is going on an almost daily basis. The sad fact that is mainly done by USAF equipment and personnel. Bye Bye blue sky.

I'm curious as to why the USAF would spray over a populated area, when they could just go to a remote area that isn't so scrutinized. Also if they are just getting rid of fly ash, it would take trains to carry that much. You are giving us conservatives a bad name with these theories. I also served in the USAF as a bomb loader and Never once heard or saw anything that remotely resembles your claims. Sorry, but there is a lot of proof lacking in your claims.

Check out the huge rail yard at Tinker AFB on Google and ask yourself why are they blurring so many sections of tracks. Then get back to me with your findings. By the way, I have worked on two NASA projects: One was the Surveyor unmanned moon lander and the other was the Apollo project. I know a lot more than a bomb loader might.

My hometown used to have a coal fired generating facility until just a couple of years ago. The fly ash was used as a cheap fill in building projects. It compacted well as a base for concrete. Any fly ash not used in this way went to our local landfill, not shipped long distance to a hazardous waste facility. I did however used to have a friend who was into these inane conspiracy theories and would obsess over them. Lots of crackpot ideas floating around out there like this one.

For those who can't think for themselves, there is a long List of conspiracy theories to choose from.

Chemtrails is near the top of this hilarious list.

Please point out the huge rail yard you're referring to. Position from the runways EWNS.

It's on the south side of the base and just below the white KC-135s that are pointed due north.

Coal fly ash is highly toxic according to the EPA:... (show quote)

Coal fly ash is used as a supplement in concrete to replace some of the cement, reduce drying shrinkage, increase strength, and has been used that way for many years with few if any problems. The idea that the USAF would be pumping it out of airplanes is simply ludicrous!

Also it used to be the BNSF rail yard which was purchased by the Air Force.
You can see where they blocked off the rail access with concrete barriers and covered the tracks with dirt. Are you saying they ship fly ash in on railcars to put on planes to spray the general public with fly ash at 40k ft where the jet stream would disperse it to negligible levels over thousands of square miles. How many airplanes could one railcar fill? Reason this out.
