I really like the composition but there seems to be quite a bit of distortion. The castle seems wider at the top then narrows towards the bottom. I think this may be corrected in post as it may be the effect of your wide angle lens. (24mm, I think). Or maybe it's just what my eyes see.

It's definitely from the 24 as well as the low angle of shooting. The path looks gigantic, too. I tried distortion correction, but it cropped too much of the image.

I would have corrected the distortion of the castle a bit!

This is good, but your other castle shot is much better!

I agree, but I didn't leave myself enough space around the building

I agree. Just trying to show what a leading line into the image can do. The path is gigantic!

Nice shot with nice coloring - I might be going over to Ireland this spring - could you tell me which castle this was? Thanks - Joe

I'm sorry Joe, I have forgotten which one. But there are plenty to choose from in Ireland. I believe it was south of Cork.

No problem, greymule - I visited Ireland a couple of times and always loved the place and its castles - I am sure I will have plenty to visit. Have a great day. Joe

Interesting take on the shot.
I thk I would have taken it horizontally and lost some of the walkway.
Nice spot for sure.

That's a lovely photograph, unfortunately at 24mm it is bound to be distorted, it also doesn't help that were stood at the bottom of a slope. If possible try to get farther back and higher up in the future to reduce this effect when taking this sort of photograph.
