The edits are in. At this time we will not be accepting any more edits. You can now begin to vote for the edits. All the edits are contained in a dropbox folder. The link for that folder is provided below. Click on the link and then decide which edit you like the best. When you have made your decision, post the number of that edit in this thread. On Sunday at 9pm we will make the results of the voting known. We will also post the winning edit so that you can see it without having to go back to the dropbox folder.
We have made a small change to our format . You can now vote for the original if feel that it is better than any of the edits. I have received comments from members about voting for the original. Members feel that, in the event that none of the edits are a person's favorite, provisions should be made to allow voting for the original. We do not want this to become a "can you beat my photo" contest; but I do understand the concerns of the membership. So, starting this week, in the event that you don't like any of the edits more than you like the original, you will be able to vote for the original and that vote will be tallied in the results. Since we don't want, however, to encourage people to post originals that have already been highly manipulated or processed, the original will not be eligible to win the contest. In the unlikely event that the original receives more votes than any of the edits, the edit of the original that receives the most votes will be declared the winner. If there are any comments or questions concerning the change, feel free to pm ebrunner and I will address any of your concerns. Here is the link to the dropbox folder:

Some sad news. My father died at the age of 89 a few days ago. I had a chance to see him one last time in Boston last weekend. He was not doing very well at all by that time; but he still knew I was there. That made me happy. I'll try to be more attentive of my duties in UHH; but I've been pretty much out of it for a few weeks now since his condition began to deteriorate. Thank you, as always for your many edits. They all look wonderful and the voting should be quite interesting.
Erich
