Lovely indeed, and very nicely shown here. We had a cuppa sitting outside that cafe a couple of years back. It’s a lovely spot, but then, where isn’t in The Lakes? This year we are trying Nidderdale, which I guess you may be familiar with? We’ve never been there before so hoping for some nice surprises! Will we get them?

I agree beauty surrounds you in the Lake District. The Yorkshire Dales have a lot to offer too, I am sure you will not be disappointed. Pleased you enjoyed the series and thank you very much for your kind comments.

Enjoying our break in the Lake District we walked a mile along the road to the village to have a coffee. The house was built in 1859 and downstairs was used as a Sunday School. It is now a thriving coffee shop.

The medieval monks owned much of Borrowdale from 1208 farming sheep and growing wealthy on the thriving wool trade. They established their ‘grange’ or farm here. Some of the houses may be built of stone from their original grange. Many properties are made from local slate.

The small Holy Trinity Church was built in 1861.

I hope you enjoy seeing the properties in Grange and the views along the way.

What a magical place! I looked for Mr Dickens but couldn't spot him, but he would be right at home here. All just lovely, Sylvia!

Very nice shots my friend. I enjoyed the tour.

Greg is heading back to London on Sunday. Maybe one of these days I'll hop on a plane with him and pay you and Bob a visit. It's hard to get away with all of the animals and other commitments. Cheers!

Pleased you could join me Vicki. Thank you very much for your comments I do appreciate them.
Greg will have had some unsettled weather while in the UK, hoping things are settling down. It would be great to see you, we are about 4.5 hours drive north from London. I know exactly what you mean about the animals. It seems so strange that we can just pack a bag and go away, now that old boy Ted has gone.
