I was worried about that also. I hear that there have been many deaths due to flash floods. We were there in September last year and had no rain and the river was at a relatively low flow rate. I would love to go back and explore some more.

Yes it was, canyon was between 400-600ft deep and in some places only 30-50ft wide.
