We are all saddened at the passing of Gregory. On February 25th, 2019, Gregory treated my wife Paula and me to a wonderful day in Big Cypress Swamp photographing birds. I posted a photograph of Gregory and me a day or two ago at Joanie’s Restaurant on the UHH forum. Hopefully you will find some closure in his Obituary below, that I copy/pasted from the source at the bottom.

Gregory A. Dupignac(1945 - 2019)

Copeland, FL - Gregory A. Dupignac, 73, of Copeland, FL, formerly of Toms River, died Friday, March 8 after a short illness. Greg was born in Teaneck, N.J., December 4, 1945 and raised in Bergen County graduating from Fort Lee High School in 1963. Greg attended the University of Tennessee before returning home to join his father in his real estate and insurance agency in Englewood Cliffs and then Toms River.

Greg relocated to Southwest FL where he eventually embraced the artist he always was. Greg managed several Naples art galleries before opening his own just off 5th Street South. For the past five years Greg lived in the Everglades where he was a highly-regarded photographer of the birds of South Florida being honored with one-man shows on both the East and West coasts.

Greg was predeceased by his parents, Frank J. and Elizabeth Dupignac and his brother-in-law, John Taber. He is survived by his brother, Frank J. Dupignac, Jr. and his wife, Arlene, of Toms River, his sisters Donna Ginsberg and her husband, Jay, of Doylestown, PA., Denise Taber of Toms River, Deborah Riber and her husband, Jeff, of St. Petersburg, FL and many nieces and nephews.

Greg is also survived by his good friend, Vanessa Barros, and the tight-knit Everglades Community of artists and environmentalists. He will be missed by all. Services are private. Greg volunteered at his local foodbank and contributions in his honor to the foodbank of your choice will be greatly appreciated.

As a relatively recent member of the UHH community, I "met" Greg online when I started to post my bird photographs. We shared a love of the art even though we differed in our approach to presenting our work...Greg believed in presenting his photographs pretty much straight out of camera while I believe most shots benefit from some post processing, yet despite our differences, we always felt comfortable offering each other ideas, compliments, and support. I'm am startled to learn of Gregs death and will miss him as a photographic companion. Thanks for posting the eulogy and for letting us know of his passing. jak

G'day Ron, if you go to the main photo gallery page of February 12th you will see a 5 page thread on Gregory.
My post with the photo of Gregory and me, is on page 3, posted on the 12th. Also go to page 5 and you
will see a link to a good video of the Everglades loop road, featuring Gregory.
Gregory was a VERY nice man and my wife and I enjoyed him very much. I also posted a copy of Gregory’s Obituary that I think has been moved to the chit chat section on the Hog. Let me know if you need any help
With the photo or video. Jeff

This could very will be the last photo taken of Gregory. It was taken after a shoot with him in Big Cypress Swamp on February 25th with my wife, Paula and me. The photo was taken by Paula with an iPhone X outside of Joanie’s Cafe on the Tamiami Trail. It was sush a WONDERFUL day spent with a nice man
and great photographer.

Please let me know if you got this,
Jeff

Gregory is the youngest guy on the right with the long grey beard, I’m on the left.
He was a very good photographer and a VERY nice man.
