Problems with ON1

I'm on a project where I am editing a large batch of photos in RAW on ON1. As I loaded the completed images to my files, everything was fine for the first four shots. After that, everytime I tried to upload a picture from ON1 to my photo files ON1 always crashed. I contacted them and I was given instructions as to how to correct it. But it still hasn't been corrected. Does anybody have any ideas?

Questions to give us direction to help...
What size are the photos
What are the system specs (memory, processor, total memory, shared memory, cache memory)
What kind of video card do you have and how much memory does it have or is it shared
Where are you loading the files (main drive - secondary or tertiary drive - external drive)
How much space is left on the drive where the files are being loaded
Are you having any issues with other programs that are graphics intensive
Have you rebooted the machine

What did ON1 tell you to do?

Send them the On1 log file; it will contain all of the error codes. It can be found at <username>/appdata/roaming/on1/on1 photo raw 2019 (or 2018, etc)/ON1 Photo RAW Log.txt.

Note that appdata is a "hidden" directory; you'll have to make hidden files/directories visible first, to see it.

If you want to see what the problem codes, etc. are, the just open it and search for the word "error". I just had a different problem, and they were able to track it down via this process, for me.

I have had similar problems like this - crashing, getting really slow, commands not working, etc. I would not rely on this for production work. It is not quite ready for prime time on batch work, as well as other tasks. Don't get my wrong - I love On1 and have been a user since version 7, and I do hope they get their act together. I continue to purchase upgrades just to help with their revenue stream, but I can't use their software as my only solution. For batch, I use DXO, Lightroom and Capture One. These are all mature applications that have few if any bugs like the ones you are seeing in On1.

In the meantime, do contact ON1 tech support - they will give you access to a dropbox folder where you can leave files that they ask for and they will persevere to help you get to a solution to the best of their ability.

Do yourself a favor and check your card to see if images are still there. All of my images showed up on the screen and after 10 minutes of download time I got an error message, could not store on On 1 Raw... No problem try again, and again and again. I checked card just for fun, No Images..... Now no images on computer and no images on card. Thank Goodness I can live without the images....Just simple commands, like delete and empty album makes my ON1 Crash. I even Uninstalled and then Reinstalled program, still not working right.........2019 version. And this is my long awaited intro into shouting Raw......Fun so far..

I responded to 'On-1's' offer for a Free Trial, but quickly learned that even tho I have a Sony Vaio, with an i-7 Processor, that I need 16 GB of RAM for it to operate successfully! - (My Sony has 'only' 6GB, so NO SALE!)
This could be what the problem is, or at least part of the problem.
