Interesting observation. I do have children. The help I gave them was instilling confidence and their Mom gave them a work ethic. I went to undergrad on my wife’s and my hard work. I worked in the oil fields summers, used the VA benefits I got from serving in Vietnam. Graduate school was via loans and holding a full time job after the first year. I spent 32 years prosecuting criminals. These people (criminals) cheated hard working kids out of seats in the prestigious schools they worked their asses off to get into. Cheated real atheletes out of placement. Cheated underprivileged kids who had to excell academically. Every graduating student from the involved school is seeing the devaluing of the hard work they did to actually graduate. Of course every person is entitled to the presumption of innocence until they are found guilty by plea or convicted by a jury of their peers. That’s the lawyer disclaimer.
I suceed or fail by my moral compass. I’m having a hard time figuring out how you jumped to your conclusion that I would cheat and lie for my kids without ever meeting me. Would you? Is that your view of people in general? Projection perhaps?
